       With a tumultuous history of wars fought for  Vietnam's freedom over the centuries , learning and mastering a weapon, is deep embed in the art of . Centuries ago every region of Vietnam had  its trademark of weapon training. For example in Quang Binh, in the center of Vietanam, the region was very known  the long staff. There are over 20 weapons to study in Qwan Ki Do, weapons specific to Chinese culture, weapons specific to Vietnamese culture or specific weapons to both cultures.

    Qwan Ki Do weapons are structured in wodden, composite and bladed. Some traditional weapons, projectile and agricultural weapons are only teached under the direct supervision of Master Pham Xuan Tong.
